Impossible to speak of Santiago de Cuba without referring to El Caney, with lands caring for very sweet fruits, which have even inspired composers like compatriot Felix B. Caignet a son popularized in the world.

Emerged in 1629 under the name of Community India Caney or San Luis de Los Caneyes, the eastern homeland hosted in their fields the header bourgeois families in houses villas or country homes that are now part of Cuban architectural heritage.
