calle enramadas santiago de cuba corredor patrimonialThe incorporation of various proposals for individual or private management in the central and populous Enramadas street is part of the revival of the area, considered the Cuba's greatest asset of the pedestrian corridor and backbone of the historic center of the city of Santiago de Cuba .

Ivette Borjas, specialist of the Master Plan of themockup, told Sierra Maestra that is enhancing and providing new attractions to section two of the track (from Corona Street to La Alameda), from the inclusion of non-state workers in premises belonging to the Office of the Curator of the City (OCC) and projects by architects of the institution itself.
"The private workers leased spaces, and it is they who perform the work, but the OCC supports them with some materials," Borjas said.
Although there are some initiatives to highlight this second tranche of Enraamdas, ideas like the Spiral Project and the creamery of Garden of Enramdas, they are still insufficient, and collecting local even without any commercial appeal or services.
"Usually the movement of people, who agreed to the historic center by Plaza de Mars, was diluted in Corona street because there was nothing attractive to look at the other piece, which extends to the promenade," says Borjas and adds "One of these proposals is complex The Louvre, in front of the shop La California, which is being implemented by a non-state worker."
"It's an ambitious idea, includes a fast food cafeteria that is virtually complete, a buffet table and restaurant, at another stage has plans to create a beauty salon, rooms and a gym, in short it is a beautiful project that will be enjoyed and that already exhibits a nice facade, after recovering a space that was damaged by many years, and is also the place where settled one of the first stores of Enramdas , which led by name, precisely, the Louvre " he added.
Also in Enramdas, between Padre Pico and Corona, is Art Clip, another project implemented by non-state workers, after repairing an old office of local industries, is today a local for photographic service (social, advertising, scientific, among others), in addition to designing and creating business cards, posters and brochures, also scanning and repairing images, and many more offers.
"For lovers of the Asturian stew(fabada), on the corner of Padre Pico and Enrmadas, will be La Fabada de Marieta, in a colonial building where this tasty Spaniard dish will be sold based on white beans, sausages and pork, and you will also have a place to sell biscuits because is a no state employee who performs the work is a pastry chef" explained Borjas.
"On Gallo street outside the workshop school Ugo Luisi, not in the street Enramadas but very close to it and therefore adds attractive to itself, is the Cafeteria Tentempié (light snack) for the sale of foods that allow people to buy something and follow the path, and the Holy Spirit Garden, where people can find all kinds of items related to the care of plants and accessories such as benches and lights, "he said.
Opposite the Garden of Enramadas, in former warehouses, it will be concentrated in non-state activity, but in decent conditions, with furniture, space, environment and adequate lighting, also includes a cafeteria.
"To bring the private sector to the economic and urban values of the street," said Borjas.
Enramadas street, one of the undisputed symbols of Santiago culture, experience today one of its major transformations in its history: the change in its 14 paving streets with a total length of 1.5 kilometers.
