A family from Santiago de Cuba and two groups of workers were awarded the Prize of the Neighborhood, in recognition of the close link with the community and identification with the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR), on the occasion of the celebrations for the 55th anniversary of that organization.

The Neighborhood Award is the highest award granted to recognize and encourage individuals, groups and families who tirelessly work with the people, said Santos.
Similarly, they will merit the flag certifying them as National Vanguard the municipality of Segundo Frente and the Frank País district
Santos reported further that on Saturday plenary Provincial develops in the Heredia Cultural Complex, during which will be discussed topics related to the political and ideological work, and the role of the family in the formation and strengthening of values.
She also emphasized on the necessary preparation to the newly elected leaders of the basis for the proper performance of their duties, as well as the revolutionary neighborhood watch and stressed the importance of compliance with the CDR guard and confronting social indiscipline, illegalities, crime, drugs and youth work.
The CDR was created on September 28, 1960 by Commander in Chief Fidel Castro, as the main Revolution and its achievements trench of combat.
