Three CDs dedicated to the half millennium of the founding of the town of Santiago de Cuba, is the gift of Siboney Business Studies Recordings and Musical Editions EGREM in Santiago de Cuba, on the anniversary.
On the eve of the celebration of his 35th birthday honors its main objective, to preserve the musical heritage of the nation with the presentation of phonograms: A Santiago for 500 years; a CD tribute to Juan Almeida Bosque and the third with music by Ricardo Leyva dedicated to Santiago de Cuba.
Jorge Luis Pujals, who had charge of the production and the record note said that among the topics include: Taste of Caney, Street Enramadas to Santiago on foot and Yearning for Conga.
The melodies will be performed by renowned exponents of Cuban music as the Turquino Septet or Conga of Los Hoyos. On the album is a journey through various genres and groups that meets the Santiago musical culture.
Since its inauguration on July 5, 1980, the institution legitimized its intention to promote and preserve the musical heritage of the country, introducing the first disc of 45 revolutions per minute recorded in Siboney.
During his more than three decades the Siboney Studies have been characterized by excellence in her albums.
Example is that since the EGREM awards to current events, has achieved significant recognition with the presentation of their phonograms.
Hopefully the new disks are equally valuable than their predecessors as they will be recognizing the 500th anniversary of the founding of the town of Santiago de Cuba and the 62 anniversary of the assault on the Moncada and Carlos M. de Céspedes barracks.
