"Mustang", nominated this year to the Oscar and Golden Globe Awards for best foreign film, shows its director Deniz Gamze ErgüyenÂs interest in stressing the role of women in Turkey, taking into account her own experiences in a story that was supported by producers from her country, as well as Germany and Qatar.

"The outsider" tells the real story of a financial scandal triggered by French businessperson Jerôme Kerviel, known also as "the winner" and "the money-maker machine".

This film was screened in Havana last Friday at the opening ceremony of the 19th French Film Festival in Cuba.
