Ten LatAm, Caribbean Countries to Attend Event in Cuba

Havana, Oct 6 (Prensa Latina) The 6th International Meeting on Children and Youths in Latin America and the Caribbean will be attended by delegates from ten countries from the region in this capital, where they will debate issues of growing complexity in the region.
The meeting will bring together representatives from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Peru, El Salvador, Mexico, Chile, Uruguay, Ecuador and Cuba, said Idania Rego, a researcher with the Group for Studies on Youth, attached to the Center for Psychological and Sociological Research CIPS).

Scheduled from October 11 to 13, the event aims to contribute to the construction of collective knowledge on different aspects, such as public policies, inequality, education, communication and social exclusion, and disintegration, among others.

About 90 papers by Cuban and foreign delegates will be presented in plenary sessions at the event, to be held in the University of Havana.

The event will commemorate the 50th anniversaries of the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO) and assassination of Ernesto Che Guevara in Bolivia.
