Havana, April 12 (Prensa Latina) The Comptroller General of the Republic of Cuba, Gladys Bejerano, stated this Friday that combining prevention and confrontation is key to eliminate indiscipline, crime and corruption.
The objective of the Revolution has never been to accept that resources or people are lost, but that they become better citizens every day, better Cubans, he declared to the press shortly after his participation in the debates of the National Assembly of People's Power on the fight against illegalities.
According to the vice-president of the Council of State, the exchanges of criteria in Parliament were broad and deep, focused on identifying the causes and conditions that provoke acts of indiscipline, crime and administrative corruption.

The comptroller reported that 73 percent of those involved in corruption last year were subjected to criminal prosecution, with penalties that depend on the assessment of the law in each case.
