Havana, Jul 30 (Prensa Latina) Cuban soprano Johana Simon and tenor Bryan Lopez will perform on August 6 at the annual music festival of the city of Bayreuth, in Germany, representatives of the artists reported today.
Simon and Lopez are in Germany invited by the Festival of Bayreuth, led by Eva Wagner Pasquier and Katharina Wagner, descendants of great German composer Richard Wagner, to whom the event is dedicated.
As part of this European tour, both artists have offered to date two concerts sponsored by the Munich Wagnerian Society, accompanied by the German pianist Susanna Klovsky.
The first one took place on July 18 at the headquarters of the prestigious Association "Amici del Loggione" at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, sponsored by the Wagnerian Association of that Italian city and the Circle of Friends of Richard Wagner of Havana.
Meanwhile, the second show, entitled "One Night in Havana" was carried out on July 22, at the Convent of Santo Domingo in the Spanish city of Tui, as part of IKFEM (International Keyboard Festival & Masterclass Eurocity) Festival.
The concerts will continue on Sept. 12 and 19, the latter will close a series of meetings of the Die Wesendoncklieder master workshop of Richard Wagner, sponsored by the Wagnerian Association and the Hedda and Wolfgang Reuss Foundation in Munich.
