In exclusive statements to Prensa Latina, the group's President, Benito Migoya, revealed that the entity is undertaking investments that will expand the manufacture of products such as biofertilizers, biostimulants and biopesticides.
'This will help us to reduce imports and work with products that are environmentally friendly and based on national raw materials obtained from fermentation processes,' the official added.
According to Migoya, talks are being held with Cuban and Central American business representatives for the commercialization of these goods, in a region in which Labiofam already has work experience in biolarvicides (for the control of the mosquito that transmits diseases such as dengue) and biorat (biological bioraticide).
FIHAV 2019 opened at the ExpoCuba fairground yesterday and will conclude this Friday.
