Such is the case of Worth Consulting Group, a consulting firm specializing in tourism and food, which attends the event running through Friday at the ExpoCuba fairgrounds for the first time.
Its President, Ann Worth, believes that Cuba has vast potential to expand its business in the fields of food, industry, agriculture and tourism.
Worth explained that she traveled to the island in the quest to strengthen ties with other Cuban companies, as the firm's interest is to try to establish contacts to see how it can contribute experiences in the import and export spheres.
Worth discovered Cuba on a vacation, during which she visited several sites and realized that it was an attractive market. She also noted that the firm has clients that have been negotiating with Cuba for years, and informed of their success on the island.
According to previous statements by the President of the Canada-Cuba Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Nancy Lussier, one of Cuba's biggest attractions is that it is a stable market, and businesses 'are interested in concentrating their efforts on a long term vision, because they know that will contribute to the development of their companies.'
One of the fundamental objectives of our Chamber is to allow its members to exchange with their counterparts and create in this way a leverage effect that facilitates the bilateral growth of trade, she said.
Therefore, she added, we strive to continue identifying points of common interest so that business between both nations, which still has a lot of potential, continues to grow.
Businesses from more than 60 nations are attending FIHAV 2019, alongside more than 350 Cuban entities.
