Havana, Nov 16 (Prensa Latina) Cuban President, Miguel Díaz-Canel, will receive here today guests invited to the 500 anniversary of Havana festivities. The Great Gala for the 500th anniversary will take place in the terrace in front of the Havana Capitol and organizers estimate the attendance of some five thousand guests.
In the Capitol, where the halls of the Republic's Constitution, of the patriotic symbols and that of the monography will be inaugurated, together with a solemn session of the Provincial People's Power Assembly, according to the program given to the media.
Celebrations began a few weeks ago with the lighting-up of festive lighting system given by the Italian city of Torino, for the busy Galiano street which will be maintained for several days.
Havana was founded as Villa de San Cristobal de La Habana on November 16, 1519.
