Cuban Minister of Culture Attends EXPO Milan 2015 Conference

expomilan2015Havana, Aug 11 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Minister of Culture Julián González attended the International Ministerial Conference in the context of the EXPO Milan 2015, the Cuban Culture Ministry reported today.
During his address, Gonzalez referred to the efforts made by the island in order to guarantee accessibility to education and culture.

During the meeting, the Cuban minister signed the text of the conferenceâ�Ös Final Declaration, stressing the importance of dialog, respect to diversity and preservation of the worldâ�Ös cultural heritage.

Italian Minister for Cultural Assets and Tourism Darío Franceschini headed the meeting, to which also attended Italian Prime Minister Mateo Renzi.

Renzi stressed the role of culture as a bridge of dialog and a weapon to fight art trafficking and terrorism.

More than 60 ministers from several nations, Gonzalez exchanged with his counterparts from Italy, San Marino, Mozambique and Hungary.
