Matanzas, Cuba, Aug 20 (Prensa Latina) The great Cuban former outfielder Victor Mesa will lead for the fifth consecutive year the team of Matanzas, which will participate in the 55th National Baseball Series, was officially released today.
Mesa will lead the group of 12 technicians, responsible for conducting the so-called Crocodiles composed of 32 athletes, including three receptors nine infielders, seven outfielders and 13 pitchers.

'Matanzas will work hard and we have no other result than to be among the firsts". Stated Mesa at the ceremony held at the headquarters of the Provincial Assembly of People's Power (APPP), in this western city.

Heading the list is the lefty pitcher Yoanni Yera, along with Onel Vega, Ariel Martinez and Orlando Arencibia, while in the box will be Yasiel Santoya, Yurisbel Gracial, Anibal Medina, and Yandri Canto.

The rest of the team will include Luis E. Abreu, Kevin Gonzalez, Alejandro Rivero, Jefferson Delgado and Roberlandy Figueredo, and patrolling the gardens are Ariel Sanchez, Victor Victor Mesa, Demis Valdes and Jose A. Noronha.

Other pitchers participating will be Jonder Martinez, Ramon Licor, Adrian Sosa, Yosvany Perez and Felix Fuentes.
