timbalaye ulisesmora banderaHavana, Aug 24 (Prensa Latina) The Cuban rumba, become the most classic rhythm of the Latin American dances, now has great success in many regions of the world, the president of the cultural integration project Timbalaye, Ulises Mora, said here.

Our infectious rhythm gives the possibility to foreigners to live the Cuban culture, Mora told Prensa Latina, on occasion of the 7th International Rumba Festival, Timbalaye, which takes place in eight provinces until August 31, under the title "The route of rumba."

According to the artist, among the countries where the gender is danced, are Mexico, Colombia, Puerto Rico, United States, France, Spain, and Italy.

Indeed, in the Italian city of Naples, they said we have shown, through education, how a person can be a "rumbero" (rumba performer) with no great demands, because art sustains spirit, he said.

So, Mora, who along with his partner Irma Castillo chairs the Timbalaye festival, said rumba is his life.

The rumba event, which is running in the presence of Mexico, Italy and the host country, already touched the provinces of Havana and Pinar del Rio, and Matanzas today. It will then go to Cienfuegos, Trinidad, Camaguey, Guantanamo, to conclude in Santiago de Cuba.

The festival takes place in the context of the promotional activities, so the popular musical and dance genre is recognized as Immaterial World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO.

The infectious rhythm was declared as Cultural Heritage of the Cuban nation in February 2012.
