Havana, Aug 26 (Prensa Latina) The delegations of the FARC-EP and the Colombia government continue today the 40 cycle of talks for peace in that South American nation, whose issue is focused on transitional justice.
The Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia-People's Army (FARC-EP) rejected the prosecution against the guerrillas, by manufacturing rigged records, according to a statement released here.
They also demanded to cease that kind of hostilities and stop the media offensive that seeks to ignore the political nature of the insurgency.
Those parties reiterated the ceasefire measure after one month of the unilateral adoption, and insisted on the importance that it was bilateral, to remember that this is a national claim.
They also denounced the paramilitary presence in areas where a demining project is driven, which has led to its paralysis in the community of Orejon.
The guerrillas stated the permanent intimidation by paramilitary groups that threaten the free movement and supply of food to the community, and openly operate in the eyes of all residents of the municipality of Briceño, without the military and police forces develop actions against them.
The peace negotiation table yielded yesterday its space to the meeting of the Colombia gender subcommittee, where experts from a dozen women's organizations participated.
The representative of the gender commission of the FARC-EP, Victoria Sandino, said that the guerrilla has neither as a policy, nor weapon of war, the violence against women.
