cuba medicos dominicaHavana, Sep 2 (Prensa Latina) A Cuban brigade, comprised of physicians, construction and electricity technicians, participate in recovery efforts in Dominica, after the devastating effects caused by Tropical Storm Erika, Granma newspaper reported.
All Cuban staff arrived in that nation on September 1, with a load of medicines, supplies and disposable materials.

The Cuban brigade has 21 members and the load is of 2.1 tons of products.

The damages at Dominica's airports prevented the arrival scheduled for August 31, so with the help of Martinique, cooperators and inputs were transferred by sea.

The Cuban medical staff joined to the effort that, from the time when the tropical storm lashed the island, the 11 health professionals of the comprehensive program working permanently in that nation are carrying out.

Tropical Storm Erika left 20 dead and more than 50 missing people in Dominica.
