Equatorial Guinea for Stronger Co-op Links with Cuba

lazoguineaHavana, Sep 8 (Prensa Latina) President of the Senate of Equatorial Guinea, Teresa Efua Asangono, expressed in this capital his goverment''s willingness to strengthen colaboration links with Cuba.
Before a meeting with President of the National Assembly of the People's Power of Cuba (Parliament), Esteban Lazo, the African legislator told journalists that her people cannot detach from Cuba.

"We are together in the good and the bad moments," she said.

"We are a Third World country and we have found in Cuba support in the fields of health, education, sports, energy and agriculture for many years," said the former ambassador of Equatorial Guinea to Havana.

All those fields are important for us and for that reason we find crucial to continue reinforcing them and explore other opportunities, for instance, in the pharmaceutical industry, because in spite of difficulties, you have great experience in pharmacological research and the production of medicines and vaccines, she said.

Meanwhile, the President of the Cuban Parliament ratified the importance of strengthening inter-parliamentary relations because they contribute to a better state of links between the governments.
