Total Lunar Eclipse Visible in Cuba Later this Month

eclipse total lunaHavana, Sep 10 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Institute of Geophysics and Astronomy (IGA) declared today that on Sunday, September 27 a total lunar eclipse will take place and it will be visible throughout the country from its beginning to its end.
The phenomenon can also be observed in most of the Americas, West Africa and Western Europe.

In Cuba the partial eclipse phase will begin at 9:07 pm, it will completed at 10:11 pm, and all will end at 11:23 pm. Finally, the final partial phase will end at 12:27 am on September 28.

The magnitude of the eclipse will be of 1276 ,which means that the center of the moon cross a midway distance between the edge and center of the shadow cone, the IGA explains in a statement.

This will be the last in a series of four total lunar eclipses that have occurred in the last 18 months, two of them visible on the Caribbean island. The next total eclipse of the moon visible in Cuba will occur on January 20, 2019.
