Havana, Sep 16 (Prensa Latina) Colombian rebel organizations FARC-EP rejected Wednesday the unilateral approach of the government of President Juan Manuel Santos, who presented the draft concerning the peace process Legislative Act to the Congress.
In the context of the peace talks taking place here since 2012, the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia-People's Army (FARC-EP) considered the implementation, verification and countersignature referred to the sixth item of the Agenda, are not matters that concern only the government.
Treatment requires bilateral, mutual compromises, agreement, said the guerrilla spokesman Carlos Antonio Lozada.
"We wonder why the news about the presentation draft legislative act "by which legal instruments necessary for regulatory developments are necessary to facilitate and ensure implementation of the Final Agreement to end the conflict and building a stable and lasting peace."
This initiative, which,he said, contents were not agreed with the insurgency seems to suffer the same fate of the Legal Framework for Peace, which ended sunk unnoticed.
He added that the intention to unilaterally define the contours of the negotiation, hampers and goes against the agreement referred to "accelerate and escalate in Havana in Colombia".
In this regard, said that in a conversation peace, unilateralism and imposition, are shortcuts that should not be, because they lead to failure and criticized the government's insistence to use procedures with mistrust plaguing the environment surrounding the parties close to signing a historic pact. He also reported that regarding the design of the standardization of the agreements, the government is already aware of the proposal to the FARC-EP to create a Follow-up Commission for Regulatory Development Agreements, and sufficient efforts to combine their views with insurgency regarding countersignature.
This, he added, includes our proposal for maximum public participation in a National Constituent Assembly.
