Havana, Oct 6 (Prensa Latina) Cuban First Vice President, Miguel Diaz-Canel, received here today the Administrator of the United Nations Program for Development (UNDP), Helen Clark, who is on a working visit to the island.
At the meeting, Clark welcomed accompany Cuba in the process of updating its economic model and ratified the UNDP will continue to provide all possible cooperation.
Both sides also discussed issues of mutual interest on South-South cooperation, in which the island maintains a leading role.
The meeting was also attended by the Regional Director for Latin America and the Caribbean, Jessica Faieta; the Resident Coordinator of the United Nations System in Cuba, Myrta Kaulard, and Deputy Resident Representative, Claudio Tomasi.
On the Cuban side were Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment Rodrigo Malmierca, and the acting director of International Economic Organizations of the ministry, William Diaz.
