Japanese Group Exhibits Polarimeters for Sugar Sector

atagoHavana, Oct 9 (Prensa Latina) Japanese group Atago, specialized in producing polarimeters, refractometers, and other measuring equipment, is participating in the 13th International Congress on Sugar and Sugarcane Derivatives, Diversification 2015, attended by experts and businessmen from 27 countries.
Emerson Carrillo and Derival Pires Junior, of the divisions from that company in the United States and Brazil, respectively, told Prensa Latina that this is the first time they are in Cuba to promote the supply of those equipment to the sugar industry, widely used in laboratories in measuring the quality of sugar, alcohol, and other products.

The firm also has instruments that are used in the sugarcane process, said Carrillo, who stated that Atago is a world leader in the production and supply of those equipment.

The company has a stand of the 36 existing in the trade fair taking place parallel to the Congress, in a large room at the Havana's Hotel Nacional, venue of the event, together with companies from Spain, Mexico, Australia, Sweden, China, Germany, Poland, Cuba, and other nations.

As part of the event, a business forum in which the representatives of the companies gave the participants in the congress business lectures on the characteristics of their products and services,was held on Wednesday.

About 400 experts and business people, including more than 100 foreigners, who analyze through lectures, roundtable discussions and papers, all aspects of sugar production and sugar derivatives, with emphasis on energy, alcohol, and animal feed, are attending Diversification 2015, starting Oct. 5 through Oct. 9.
