President of Italian Council of Ministers Begins Visit to Cuba

Havana, Oct 28 (Prensa Latina) The President of Italian Council of Ministers, Matteo Renzi, will arrive in Cuba today on an official visit, during which he is expected to comply with a broad working agenda.
According to the offical announcement, Renzi will preside over a Cuba-Italy business forum that will be held at Havana's Hotel Nacional on Wednesday.
Renzi will visit the same day the Higher Institute of Art, where he will deliver a keynote speech. The visitor will also pay a tribute to Cuba's National Hero Jose Marti at the monument located in the Revolution Square, and will be welcomed in an official ceremony.
This will be the first visit to Latin America and the Caribbean of Renzi, who took office in February 2014. This tour of the region includes Chile, Peru and Colombia.
Relations between Cuba and Italy are cordial and stable, with prospects to be expanded.
Further development ties are placed in the political and diplomatic field, bilateral cooperation, technical cultural and scientific exchange, as well as in investment, particularly in the fields of tourism and energy.
