A collaboration project as part of the urban revival of the town El Cobre, is being developed in harmony with the historic, patrimonial and cultural attributes of the town. Restoration, repairing and rehabilitation works are linked to those other investments promoted by the Tourism Ministry and represented by the Patrimony Office, the government and Italian-Iberoamerican Institute.
This project will facelift the town and will promote hiking tourism, since the town is one of the new tourism potentials to be developed in Santiago de Cuba. The works are vital signs to highlight the National Monument town.
Two stages are programed at an urban scale giving priority to houses and roads, according to the construction planning office in the town.
Several facilities have already been benefited by the project such as the headquater of the Steel Band and the parks Agustin, Cebreco y Jose Marti.
