Alfonso Munera, General Secretary of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS), announced the creation of a virtual library related to the Carnival Network, recently established in this city.
The Colombian intellectual pondered the importance of the cultural fabric, its popular and collective character, and also added between the perspectives commissioning of a digital museum about these parties, which will have spaces for dance performances, music, gastronomy among other arts.
Múnera referred to other efforts of the ACS, after overcoming a very deep crisis in previous phases, which has come out with stronger institutions and projects and achievements related to sustainable tourism, transportation, disaster prevention and connectivity.
It held that the Association has become a kind of laboratory, a very interesting fact because it delegates all those countries in the region meet, with its diversity of Spanish, French, Dutch and English, with a mutual exchange and familiarization in collaboration.
Network Carnival Caribbean was constituted last July in this city, during the celebration of the XXXV International Festival of the Caribbean and integrated in this first stage by 12 nations, with the expectation of bringing the remaining festivities that character in the region.
That event is inserted into the will of governments and institutions in pursuit of these latitudes approach from the spirituality of the people and the diversity and common origins for an enriching approach that transgresses borders and geographies so close together by the sea.
