This solidarity group is made up of members of the international contingent Henry Reeve, specialized in disaster situations.
Speaking to a Cuban television team, brigade chief Rolando Piloto reported that up to yesterday, they treated 6,641 patients in hospitals in the city of Piura and in nearby camps where thousands of victims live in tents due to the loss of their homes destroyed or seriously damaged by the floods.
He added that 10 doctors and an equal number of nurses from the brigade joined yesterday the field hospital inaugurated by the Minister of Health and will work there in shifts 24 hours a day.
