Havana, Apr 24 (Prensa Latina) US Marlon Daniel will conduct for the first time in the Cuban capital the National Symphony Orchestra, in a presentation scheduled for the April 30, that entity confirmed today. The event will take place in Covarrubias hall of the National Theater, at 11:00 a.m. (local time), and will also feature pianist Gérard Aimontch. Daniel, considered one of the most prominent young directors of the United States, has performed in several European countries and has obtained several recognitions and awards.
He is known for the rescue of works by composers of African origin as George Walker, winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Music in 1996.
