The actions seek to capture the Colombian armed groups that perpetrated the recent aggression against members of the armed forces in the state of Amazonas, where a dozen people were injured.
Last Sunday, the Defense minister denounced the action, which was perpetrated while Venezuelan troops were carrying out an operation to protect its borders.
The aggression is a retaliation for the capture of nine Colombian paramilitaries, from whom weapons of war were seized and consequently, they were transferred to the Public Ministry, the minister noted on Twitter.
Padrino reiterated in this regard that the Bolivarian nation's troops persist in their effort to prevent the crossing of any armed groups into national territory and to guarantee peace.
