Tomás Terry Theater, from this city, is in a process of repair, maintenance and restoration, facing the Cienfuegos’ bicentenary, which will be commemorated on April 22nd of 2019.

In the theater it will be made the Latin America Monologue Festival, which will take place in February from 12th to 16th, with selected works of artists from Mexico, Uruguay, Argentina, Costa Rica, Colombia and Cuba.

The specialist Margarita Salas Albuernes affirmed that they pretend to make a great opening in February 12th, day in which Tomás Terry Theater will arrive to 130 years of foundation.

She highlights that the editions of City of Sea Alternative Music Festival will continue, with important groups of our country, those editions will have as headquarter several locations of the Pearl of the South.

For the Ateneo hall from Terry Theater, they program theater presentations and with concert music 2019, and artists from Spain and United States together with the Cubans Pancho Amat, Chucho Valdés and Aldo López Gavilán confirmed their attendance.

The specialist announced that also as part of the 200th anniversary of the city they created several actions, contests with artists from Cienfuegos among them.
