Havana, Mar 20 (Prensa Latina) Cuba''s President Miguel Diaz-Canel announced he will preside over annual meetings of the ministries of Food Industry and Transportation, in which he will check on results and projections of these two key sectors for an island blockaded by the United States.
'In both, We'll assess issues that have much to do with the quality of life of the people,' Diaz-Canel wrote in his Twitter account that has an increasing number of followers.
Since he took office last April, Diaz-Canel has been attending this type of meetings and paying visits nationwide to check on production and services, and talk to the people.
Also in Twitter, the Head of State highlighted his meeting yesterday with former President and current Argentinean Senator Cristina Fernandez, who's paying a private visit to Cuba to call on her daughter who's undergoing treatment in Havana.
'In a fraternal meeting we talk about the most recent developments in the region. We agreed on the need to preserve Latin America and the Caribbean as a zone of peace,' he underlined.
