Cuba Promotes as Destination for Investment and Tourism in China

Beijing, Sep 11 (Prensa Latina) Cuba is promoted today as a destination for investment and tourism in China.
The idea was emphasized during the China-Latin America and the Caribbean Forum "Sharing the Future," held for the first time in Shanghai, east of the country, and in the presence of about 300 businessmen and tourist agencies of the city, the most populated one of this nation.
Cubaâ�Ös Consul General in that city, Lisbet Quesada, stated the major opportunities offered by the Caribbean island as a destination for business, foreign investment, and tourism.
The presentation of Quesada, an invitation to the audience to continue positioning China as one of Cubaâ�Ös main trading partners, emphasized on foreign investment.
With that look, she urged tour-operator agencies to increase tourism to the Caribbean island, before the opportunity that the opening in coming months of a Beijing-Havana direct flight represents.
Printed materials and other promotional medias supported the tourist offers of that nation known for its beautiful landscapes and places declared as World Heritage Site by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization).
The Forum, which opened on Sunday, Sept. 6, was organized by the China Public Diplomacy Association, the government of Shanghai, and the Shanghai Federation of Commerce along with the Latin American Consular Group in the city, and is part of the actions from both parties to continue strengthening the economic-commercial and political ties between China and the region.
