The Constitution project of the Cuban Republic was debated by staff of the Territorial Delegation of Foreign Trade and Investigation, The Trade Chamber and Associated Consultants, as part of the popular poll taking place in the heart of the nation: the people.

During the meeting polemic topics such as the article 68 on the right of marriage between two people; the equality of rights between man and woman; the designation of new terms to define the different orders in each level and the new structural proposals to the provincial and municipal governments that includes the dissolution of the Popular Power Assembly at one stage; were discussed.

“It’s been a fruitful debate since it offers the people a chance to listen to the different opinions and proposals of their equals in order to contrast different criteria”, commented to Sierra Maestra, the moderator of the event María Ángela Flores Reina a public official from Abel Santamaria county.

“The most relevant of this meeting lies on the need of each person to analyze the Constitution and make it of his or her own, because everything on it will be reflecting the law that will rule his or her behavior during his or her lifetime as a Cuban citizen. This is not only government ability but a citizen as well” she finished.

Keep up defending the conscious freedom without hesitations, stringing together the citizens’ participation with the government representatives’ agenda and promoting the faculty of mid-range representatives; are some other aspects highly debated in the popular poll so as to achieve a conscious and a good quality constitutional right.
