Recently, a representation of neighbors from Los Maceos settlement of this city met journalists of different social media from the province in a necessary exchange with people in order to do journalism closer to the people.

The meeting took place at the park located between Corona and San German Street. The invited citizens shared passages of the history of that area of the city marked by places such as Maceo-Grajales’ house and Frank Pais’, etc. In the same way, the journalist of Turquino TV, Sierra Maestra newspaper and the Cuban News Agency listened to the people opinion on their work performance, suggestions and concerns. The newspaper letter’ size, the need of a bigger amount of prints and frequency of the newspaper due to the great social, political and cultural life in the province; were aspects debated in the meeting.

The social media work on publishing the population complains was also acknowledged in the meeting, specially the TV program En Línea Contigo, and the Sierra Maestra newspaper section Santiago en las Noticias.
