On the occasion of the upcoming 60^th anniversary of the Cuban revolution, the day-to-day work developed by physicians from Santiago de Cuba was honored by the provincial school of the Cuban Party Hermanos Marañon.

At the event, the hospital Conrado Benítez, cancer center of the province, was one of the hospitals congratulated by its outstanding results. This health center treats the all patients from the southeastern region.

The event was a nice chance to decorate those doctors that have devoted their research work to warrant a good health of Santiago family. Dr. Gonzalo Urgellés Aguilar, Dra. Nancy Veliz Valón, Dr. Andrés García Arpajón and Dr. Rafael Manuel Neyra Barros were decorated with “Manuel Piti Farjardo” distinction.

Dr. Rafael Manuel Neyra Barros, director of the cancer center of the province expressed: “I feel pretty honored with this distinction. This is an acknowledgment to my work and my team’s and to the achievements in the hospital during this year such as: the installation of high-tech equipments that will improve the life quality of patients”.

In the same way, in the event, institutions such as Ambrosio Grillo Hospital, the South Maternity Hospital were acknowledged for their outstanding work and results.
