Palma Soriano is getting ready to start the sugar harvest 2019-2020

Palma Soriano- The sugar harvest 2019-2020 is right in the corner of Dos Ríos Sugar Mill of this eastern territory.

The harvest is intended to start on December of the current year, according to AZCUBA sugar group executives. From this point on, repairs and preliminary details are been intensified in both the sugar cane fields and the mill.

The staff of the sugar mill (2600 workers) is engaged on preparations for the harvest. Attention to agriculture producers (APA in Spanish) estimates a collect of around 300 thousand tons of sugar cane in the fields , in the 13 productive ways involved: Basic Production Cooperative Units (UBPC in Spanish), Agriculture Production Cooperative (CPA in Spanish) and Credits and Services Cooperatives (CCS in Spanish), most of them mechanized.

On the other hand, the industry speeds up repairs in order to be ready on December and mill over 32 tones.  This is a challenging goal that will change former years´ low results.

The sugar harvest supporting enterprises such as Tranzmet, Azumat, ESAZÚCAR (an Enterprise related to services), ZETI, ETICA and others also work on preparations to contribute efficiently to a more productive and higher harvest.

The truth is that the Harvest is coming up in a moth and Palma Soriano will start the harvest in a commitment to the national economy.
