A day to celebrate the fifty –eight years of the Sierra Maestra newspaper on the streets of Santiago de Cuba which every Saturday reaches its readers, those who expect it eager to delve into its pages and enjoy the information, criticism, reflection, the revealing picture.
El Sierra, as all call it, came to light on September 7, 1957 in the city of Santiago de Cuba and did so in the midst of the clandestine struggle being waged against the dictator Fulgencio Batista.
