Housed in the same building that was first the cinema Florencia and then ABCDEF, the new dinner theater is home to the Macubá study, led by the famous actress and playwright Fatima Patterson group.
Minutes before the performance of the female vocal group Divas, in what would be the first artistic presentation at the facility, Patterson said: "This is life for the group; a theater group with no seat has no lungs, not breathing. This well is what it takes to work ... it's like the laboratory of the group ".

"Thursday is supposed to be dedicated to music, Fridays and dedicated to theater and dance Saturdays and Sundays it will devote to Santiago's bohemian boleros ... for people of the third age."

The cabaret Study Macubá put an end to 20 years of neglect of the old cinema on the street of Santo Tomas, the project materialized work of architect Frank Lujan and artist Carlos René Aguilera, which included the cover, using the walls which is still standing, ceiling, a stage of 120 square meters and a building in the main hall for 120 people, according to the newspaper Granma.

Air conditioning, LED lights, modern audio technology, paintings by the artist Carlos René Aguilera and a multipurpose room on the top floor with 30 capabilities complement the brand new headquarters of the theater group Studio Macubá.
