Trump Contradicts his Secretary of State on the PDRK

Washington, Oct 5 (Prensa Latina) U.S. President Donald Trump contradicted publicly his secretary of State, Rex Tillerson, by affirming the head of diplomacy lost time trying to negotiate with the People''s Democratic Republic of Korea (PDRK).
As the Republican president wrote in his personal Twitter account, he expressed that Tillerson 'our marvelous Secretary of State' was uselessly attempting to dialogue.

'Save your energy Rex, we will do what needs to be done', added the head of the White House.

The President's tweets arrived a day letter that his head of diplomacy expressed in China that Washington had established direct lines of communication with the PDRK.

'We asked, would you want to speak? We have lines of communication with Pyongyang, we are not in a dark situation, a blackout. We have two, three channels open with Pyongyang', said Tillerson, quoted by U.S. media.

This Sunday, after Trump published his comments in Twitter, the Department of State issued a statement in that same social network in which he affirmed that the PDRK 'will not obtain a nuclear capacity, either through diplomacy or by force', wrote the spokesperson Heather Nauert, who said that would depend on Pyongyang.

The diplomatic channels are open to Kim Jong Un for now. They will not be open forever', added referring to the Asian country top leader.

In what news media called conflicting messages between the White House and the State Departnent, Trump went again on the issue and considered that 'being nice' has not worked in 25 years.

'Why would it work now? Clinton failed, Bush failed and Obama failed. I am not going to fail', said Trump, who frequently compares his administration with past ones.

The Washington Post indicated the last proof of dissent follows previousd 'presidential humiliations' and to the efforts of Tillerson and other national security officials to soften the rough edges of Trump in issues such as the policy to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, Mexico and the Persian Gulf.

Those issues have prompted questions on the longevity of Tillerson in the post, with repeated speculations he is fed up or that the head of State wants him to leave, pointed the daily in its digital version.

Meanwhile, The New York Times quoted veteran diplomats saying not remembering when a president undermined so brazenly his secretary of State amid a tense situation.

For Christopher R. Hill, U.S. negotiator during the George W. Bush (2001-2009), clearly what has happened is the style of Trump's administration, who seems to undermine his own people all the time.

He humiliates Tillerson or, worse, makes him useless. He will resign today or tomorrow, or after a brief interval to save face, considered Dan Shapiro, former ambassador of the Barack Obama government (2009-2017).
