india francia acuerdoNew Delhi, Jan 26 (Prensa Latina) French companies will invest 10 billion dollars in India over the next five years, announced here today the Finance Minister of the European country, Michel Sapin.
The majority of these investments are meant for the industrial sector, said Sapin in a speech to the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

He said that over the last five years French firms have invested about one billion dollar per year in India.

Sapin is part of the delegation accompanying French President Francois Hollande on his three-day visit to India.

Hollande arrived yesterday in the northern city of Chandigarh, where he was received by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and together they led a forum of businessmen from both countries.

During their speeches, the two leaders agreed on the need to combat terrorism and climate change.

Precisely, on Monday Modi and Hollande will travel to Gurgaon, the nearest city to New Delhi, to place the first stone of the Secretariat of International Solar Alliance, a project promoting the use of that energy.
