Beijing, Jul 13 (Prensa Latina) The China National Meteorological Center (NMC) issued a yellow alert for high temperatures today when the country enters the peak of summer.
A heat wave will affect Monday the central, eastern and northern regions of this Asian giant and in some areas the temperatures will reach 40 degrees Celsius, forecasted the NMC.
The next wave of heat will be even worse than a drought. Local governments should work to reduce its impact on agricultural production, the Meteorological Center warned.
China has a system of four-level weather warning system with red representing the most severe weather, followed by orange, yellow and blue.
