alvaro garcia lineraLa Paz, Jan 29 (Prensa Latina) Vice President Alvaro Garcia Linera said the development achieved and future projects put Bolivia on track to expand its power capacity to the Continent.
'Bolivian companies are opening their way already into South America. We are creating a power line in Argentina and wanted to do something similar in Brazil. So Bolivia is radiating its energy capacity to the Continent, as proprietor, as integrator body," Garcia Linera said on Radio Fides.

In the interview he said that his country is very interested in the sale of electricity and gas, as prices remain unalterable internationally.

In his opinion as oil prices fell and the electricity is maintained, then to export electricity will be an option to counteract the crisis currently affecting hydrocarbons and look for other markets in neighboring countries.

'We are going to export electricity and we are also negotiating with Brazil, while with Argentina we will do negotiations later this year, so a mission of that country will visit us to specifically address the issue," he said.
