Damascus, Oct 19 (Prensa Latina) Terrorist groups continue violating the détente zone and attacked areas of the Syrian provinces of Latakia and Aleppo, where one civilian was killed, seven were injured and material damage was reported, military sources said on Friday. In Latakia, intense shootings were reported in the mountainous northern region of that administrative province, which borders Idlib, where more than 50,000 extremist troops are stationed. According to a report from the Center for Reconciliation, in the Russian Hemymin base, in Latakia, noted, without elaborating on the victims or damage, that those actions were led by the formerly al-Nusra Front.
Those regions are included in a détente and demilitarized zones agreed upon by Russia, Turkey and Syria and scheduled to be implemented after October 15.
However, the parties decided to postpone the measure due to insecurity and the constant violations by terrorist groups opposed to negotiations, the sources pointed out.
