Bolsonaro pointed out that it is necessary to get used to living with truth, and added that the people, whom he thanked for their trust and support, have to know what happens in the country.
He underlined that the big communication media criticized him almost all the time, putting him even 'in a nearly humiliating position'.
With more than 98 percent of the votes counted, Bolsonaro was supported by more than 57.16 million voters, accounting for 55.34 percent of the total, while his opponent, Fernando Haddad, from the Workers' Party (PT), won more than 46.13 million votes (44.46 percent).
Bolsonaro got the majority of votes in 16 states, while Haddad won in 11 states.
Brasilia, Oct 29 (Prensa Latina) President-elect Jair Bolsonaro, from the Social Liberal Party (PSL), who won the elections on Sunday, promised to change Brazil''s fate and to place the country in an outstanding position in the world.
