Since 2017, Zhuhai has held a special zone to link Latin America and the Caribbean to this initiative, which connects China with different continents in the world through a large infrastructure network and commercial exchanges.
According to CCPIT Director Jiang Zengwei, this edition of the summit will examine the potential for collaboration in areas such as finance, trade, services, small- and medium-size enterprises, and the development of large area in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay, which is considered a new economic center in China.
It will also foster debates on the role of entrepreneurship from all parties in global economic governance, stable development and common prosperity.
At the same time, there are a round table among chambers of commerce, project negotiations, symposiums and an exhibition on the leading offers from each party.
The annual Summit was held for the first time in November 2007 as a CCPIT initiative and since then, it has alternated venues in China, Latin America and the Caribbean.
The Summit was incorporated into the 2015-2019 cooperation plan to become an economic and commercial subspace of the China Forum and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States.
Panama announced its willingness to host the 13th edition of the Business Summit in 2019.
Beijing, Nov 1 (Prensa Latina) China, Latin America and the Caribbean on Thursday opened the 12th Business Summit in the southern city of Zhuhai, with the goal of seeking new opportunities to expand trade and economic development.
