Beijing, Nov 5 (Prensa Latina) Salvadoran President Salvador Sanchez Ceren on Monday concluded his official visit to China, which was described as historic, due to the recent restoration of the diplomatic relations. Sanchez Ceren expressed satisfaction to the municipal chief with the restoration of diplomatic relations, as a result of which great opportunities for commercial exchange will be opened.
He also stressed that the prosperity of Shanghai has made it a center that opens its doors to the world for the benefit of the Chinese people.
El Salvador is participating with 20 entrepreneurs from the coffee, confectionery, textiles and sugar sectorss, as well as many services of high potential for export to China.
The Salvadoran president began his first official visit to China on October 31 with a broad agenda to seal the recent restoration of the diplomatic ties between the two nations.
During his visit to China, Sanchez Ceren was received by President Xi Jinping at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
China and El Salvador established diplomatic relations on August 21, and their authorities agreed to 'develop friendly ties based on the principles of mutual respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity, non-aggression, non-intervention in the internal affairs, equality, mutual benefit and peaceful coexistence.'
