At least 13 Dead in Attack on Somali Hotel

Mogadishu, Jul 27 (Prensa Latina) At least 13 people were killed in a bomb attack on Jazeera hotel in this capital, whose building was damaged seriously, reported official sources today.
"Some of the injured died last night and other bodies were found among the rubble in nearby buildings," said Ahmed Ali, a security services official, when referring to the bomb attack perpetrated on Sunday.
Six people were reported dead in the preliminary report, but the death toll has been updated to 13 dead so far, all of them civilians, including a Chinese diplomat and a journalist.
The embassies of China, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates are located at Jazeera Hotel.
According to police versions, a car bomb explosion destroyed the building facade.
The attack coincides with preparations for a meeting that will be held in Addis Abeda, the Ethiopian capital, in which the U.S. president, Barack Obama, will discuss with the leaders of Ethiopia, Kenya, Sudan, Uganda, and the African Union
the situation in South Sudan, and terrorism.
The African Union has a contigente of about 20,000 troops deployed in Somalia, which along with the national Army fight the Al Shabab anti government forces.
