Singapore's Prime Minister Lee Hsieng Loong, host of the event, stressed that this agreement will improve ASEAN cooperation with Russia in areas of mutual interest.
The Russian leader listed a series of spheres where the relations with the regional bloc -composed of Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand and the Philippines-, have improved since 2016, as cultural and technological exchange, healthcare or disaster response.
The head of State also stressed that collaboration is beneficial in areas such as the fight against terrorism, drug trafficking, and computer crimes.
ASEAN leaders address on Wednesday the commercial relations of the organization with countries such as China, Japan and South Korea, at the same time as they hold bilateral meetings between the participating countries.
