Beijing, Dec 7 (Prensa Latina) The Foreign minister of the Democratic People''s Republic of Korea (DPRK), Ri Yong-ho reaffirmed this Friday that his country''s commitment with denuclearization and peace of the peninsula remain unchangeable and he will work with the two parties involved for making them a reality. In this regard he commented the ongoing efforts for creating peaceful conditions in the international ties, which is proved by the progressive rapprochement with neighboring South Korea and interactions with Washington.
On the other hand, the foreign minister mentioned the impetus in DPRK-China ties at the partisan and bilateral level after three visits by North Korean leader Kim Jong-un here this year and his meetings with President Xi Jinping.
He appreciated China's support in finding a political solution to the question of the peninsula and expressed willingness to strengthen communication and coordination for new steps towards stability and regional development.
Meanwhile, Wang Yi also highlighted the good pace of the process opened in early 2018 to ease the Korean crisis and specified that it is fully in line with the common aspirations of many parties.
On the binational level, he emphasized that it is an unwavering policy for the Chinese Government and Communist Party to maintain, consolidate and develop historical ties of friendship with the DPRK through more high-level exchanges and strategic talks.
The two foreign ministers talked on other matters of mutual interest and called for a joint celebration of the 70 anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations next year.
Ri arrived in the capital yesterday on an official visit that will end tomorrow.
