Panama, Jan 27 (Prensa Latina) Pope Francis asked today for a ''just and peaceful'' solution to the crisis in Venezuela, in his first words on the issue.

When he concluded his Angelus at the Home of the Good Samaritan in this capital, the High Pontiff said to be togethere with that Christian community suffering at present and called to respect human rights of the Venezuelan people.

At present, Venezuela faces attempts of foreign interference and of a coup d'état going on that look to disrupt institutionality in the country.
