La Paz, Mar 28 (Prensa Latina) The expectation for the arrival of the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind, and of the official delegation that comes with him Thursday is high, stressed the Foreign Ministry.

The Indian leader arrives this Thursday at 17:30, local time, by the Viru Viru international airport in the eastern city of Santa Cruz, indicates a statement from the Foreign Ministry on Twitter.

The Foreign Ministry announced the expectations of this official visit are high regarding the agreements to be boosted between the two countries in the pharmaceutical, technological, lithium industrialization and bioceanic train sectors.

The unprecedented officila visit of the Indian Head of State shows a recognition of this emerging power (India) and major global player to the international current relevance of Bolivia.

The Bolivian Foreign Minister, Diego Pary, told the Patria Nueva Network the visit aims to reflect a historic integration between the two countries and enhance their international projection.

What interests us most at the moment is to show Bolivia as a country of the future (...) and that always opens its arms to its visitors to offer them the best it has,' said the Head of the diplomacy.

The President is accompanied on his two-day official visit by a delegation of 100 people, most of them businessmen, who will participate in a business meeting with their Bolivian counterparts.

According to Pary, this event will mean a new era in bilateral diplomatic relations and opens another stage for Bolivia's international ties.

President Evo Morales will welcome Kovind on Friday morning to assess issues of common interest, such as scheduled agreements, and current international issues, according to the foreign ministry.

Bolivian exports to India totaled 722 million dollars last year, while imports amounted to 153 million dollars, according to official sources.
