Mexico, Apr 29 (Prensa Latina) Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador announced Monday he will hold an important security meeting with the Governors in the face of rising crime in the country.
The President, in his usual morning press conference at the National Palace, reiterated there is a good relationship of respect, institutional and cooperation with local governments to foster development that benefits the whole country and so we will continue.
Regarding the National Guard, Lopez Obrador indicated it is made up of military, naval, and federal police because they already have training.
'Little by little more elements to undergo a training process are going to be incorporated, there are 266 coordinations and we decided to start with 51 because they are the ones we have trained for it, this is what was done in Minatitlan; little by little we are going to expand, of course they have training, they are professionals and they are going to guarantee peace and tranquility', the President commented.
In another of the issues discussed, he said that the people were already consulted about the Maya and Transisthmian trains project everyone wants because they are for the people.
